Congratulations to Emily Aikens, our latest Success Story! Emily was hired as the Safety/Risk Management Specialist for Community Education Centers in West Caldwell, New Jersey.  Emily's job duties include the following:  I handle all of the worker's compensation paperwork from our employees.  I, also, work with the legal department.   Emily, what was your employment situation prior to finding your new job?  I was employed as a receptionist with the same company. Which skills from your prior positions helped you apply for and obtain your new position?   Organizational, Communication and other training. How long had you been looking for a position?  I had been searching since I began (classes) but I stopped to just focus on school. Are there any specific job search strategies you would like to recommend to others? In my experience... hard work pays off.  This promotion was a surprise and well deserved.  I am grateful!   Emily, could you describe how your AIPS schooling impacted your ability to find this new position?  While being a receptionist I was able to help the legal department much more efficiently.
