What texts do I need for the AIPS CLA review course?

We use two texts for the review course:  The CLA Review Manual, and the CLA Study Guide and Mock Examination.  Both texts were developed by NALA and published by West, and both are in the process of being revised and updated.   They are excellent texts because they're modeled on the exam, and who better to prepare you for an exam than the folks who give it?!   As we've used these books, we accumulated a list of "quirks" that students have found in them.  Your CLA Review instructor will alert you to any errata in the texts or in the practice exams.

In addition, we've developed our own study guide to accompany both the Review Manual and the CLA Study Guide.

Here are the current citations/ISBN numbers for the textbooks.  Current retail price for the books combined is approximately $230.00.

Koerselman, Virginia:  CLA Review Manual: A Practical Guide to CLA Exam Preparation, 2nd Edition, 1998. Cengage/Delmar, ISBN-13: 9780314206213

CLA/CP Study Guide and Mock Examination, 4th Edition, Cengage/Delmar, 2009. ISBN 13: 9781435400269
