Will I need to take any more classes or learn anything new to sit for the exam?

You don't need to take any more classes, although you will need to complete the Analysis Workshop prior to enrolling for the Review course and we do encourage all of our CLA students to take the Writing Skills Workshop. Doing as many of the Challenge Units as possible is also a good idea.

You will come across information in the CLA Review Manual that will look new to you, though.  The AIPS curriculum is a generalist curriculum, and is designed to lay the foundation for taking the CLA exam   We don't "teach to the exam," but we do make sure that all areas of law addressed on the CLA exam are addressed in our curriculum.  In the CLA Review Course we concentrate on filling in the details.   So, even though you made terrific grades in your classes, you may come across topics that we didn't cover in the regular curriculum.  The purpose of the review course is to identify what you need to know - and sometimes that means identifying what you don't know!
