For paralegals who have already achieved the CLA/CP certification and who wish to obtain an additional credential, there is the CLA Advanced Paralegal Certification program.  Currently, eligible paralegals can take courses and then an exam in the following areas of law: Alternative Dispute Resolution Contract Management/Contracts Administration Discovery Social Security Disability Trial Practice Business Organizations:  Incorporated Entities Trademarks Personal Injury - Core Courses Personal Injury - 8 Practice Area Courses NALA also plans to introduce the following exams : Criminal Law Land Use The exams and courses are all taken on-line. Check the NALA website (www.nala.org) for the most up-to-date information. One thing that hasn't changed is the requirement to pass the CLA/CP exam before sitting for the Advanced Certification exams!
