For paralegals who have already achieved the CLA/CP certification and who wish to obtain an additional credential, there is the CLA Advanced Paralegal Certification program.  Currently, eligible paralegals can take courses and then an exam in the following areas of law: Alternative Dispute Resolution Contract Management Discovery Social Security Disability Trial Practice NALA plans to introduce the following exams in 2008: Business Organizations Land Use Personal Injury The exams and courses are all taken on-line. Check the NALA website (www.nala.org) for the most up-to-date information. One thing that hasn't changed is the requirement to pass the CLA/CP exam before sitting for the Advanced Certification exams!
