Those who pass PACE and maintain the continuing education requirement may use the designation "PACE - Registered Paralegal" or "RP."  This designation should be used along with your title of paralegal, legal assistant, or other position, as required by your jurisdiction. Improper use may cause you to lose the designation.
In order to maintain the PACE Registered Paralegal credential, an RP must file a registration statement with NFPA at 2517 Eastlake Avenue East, Suite 200, Seattle, WA 98102, no later than the second anniversary of passing PACE and every second year thereafter ("Filing Deadline"). Failure to file the registration statement shall cause suspension and/or revocation of the RP credential and all rights and privileges associated with the credential. An RP may file a registration statement to maintain the PACE Registered Paralegal credential regardless of the RP's employment status.
For more details on using and maintaining the RP credential, check the NFPA website at www.paralegals.org.
